Welcome, my breeding program has been selected from sound genetic lines that are genetically factored to produce healthy, agile, top field performance Gordon Setters. In my program I place strong emphasis on performance coupled with that of excellent health, solid temperaments and longevity of life. Intelligence, desire, superior nose, intensity, style, solid temperaments and sound conformation are consistently found in those I produce.
Every litter whelped here at our kennel is done so inside our home where they remain untill right at the five to six weeks old era. We begin socializing them in a family setting as soon as they have their eyes open and start to walk. Allowing them to reside inside with us exposes them to various noises and things that they would otherwise miss out on housed outside. Further this allows us first hand knowledge of all that has gone on with them. We have a lot of hours invested living with each and every one of them by the time they are placed in new homes with new owners. We make it our point (before any of them ever go on point) to know each and everyone we produce here.
All our adult Gordon's as well as all litters of our puppies are interacted with daily by our children ages 12 and 15 years of age. We have no fears or minute reservations that either will be hurt while interacting with any of our Gordon's. Our lines temperament tendencies are very amiable as well as that of a very loving nature.
My lines of Gordon's are well suited for hunting grouse in the Northern United States, ring neck pheasant on the Midwestern plains, bob white quail on the deep Southern plantations, or woodcock in the upper Northeastern United States. Further they naturally adapt to the various terrain and bird habitats found across the majority of the United States.
The size of my field lines is found to be well coupled, very muscular, and generally tend for male's to mature standing 26 inches tall at the front shoulders and weight is typically 48 to 55 pounds. The female's tend to run a little smaller in size. The female will generally stand 24 inches tall at the front shoulders and weight range is typically 38 to 42 pounds. It's been my observation that very few veer from the above norm from my line(s).
In addition to objectively breeding to obtain top field performance with an abundance of natural hunting ability, our Gordon’s are equally bred to have all the innate ability needed to make wonderful family companions. Those produced from our lines tend to be very calm by nature around the home, but boy they can turn on in the bird fields. Our Gordon's do not possess nervous energies causing them to pace the floors in the house or kennel decks. Further our Gordon's are highly loyal to their owners and highly trainable.Very loving by their very nature coupled with a ton of natural hunting instincts makes our line of Gordon's a sound choice when selecting a quality hunting companion and family pet.
I offer a three year warranty against any physical defect that would disqualify my Gordon’s from being used for hunting or breeding stock.Certain owner responsibilities apply and must be followed by potential buyer's. Your purchased Gordon must be implanted with a microchip within ten days of the said sale. Further purchaser must register their Gordon with the American kennel Club. The later is (in part) what the value of your purchase is based upon. In adittion to the previous mentioned all the pertinent preventitive health care measures must be performed, adamantly maintained and such documented at your licensed Veterinarian clinic. should any issues arise these records must be made available for inspection. I feel this is in the best interest of the purchased Gordon as well as the buyer and seller. Starting in 2008 the micro-chip and A.K.C registeration fee will be included in the sale price. Any deviation from the above will render a warranty null and void.
A replacement of equal or greater value will be rendered should a defect be found and disputed. This will be done at the earliest date possible from our stock to cover the loss. No other offer is made or implied within this offer. I work hard to keep defects out of my lines thereby reducing the need to replace dog's due to defects.
All puppies will have already been subject to a very aggressive de-worming schedule, a minimum of 2 series of 5 way parvo shots and will come with a Veterinarian health clearance prior to placement with new owners. I take the health care and well being of all my Gordon's seriously and spend plenty insuring that they are well maintained. I feel anyone who cannot (for whatever reason imagineable) or simply will not maintain them ought to refrain from obtaining any till such time as they can do so.
Fall 2008 prices will be:
$600 for an un-started puppy. At the current time we are unable to offer started puppies. The current sale price(s) will include a micro-chip implant plus the cost to register your purchased Gordon with "The American Kennel Club". In the recent past we have used the honor system allowing our client to do this as they got the free time. I have since found it would be in everyones best interest (mostly the Gordon's being purchased) dealing with this up-front at the time of your purchase. All added cost are for registering with the American Kennel Club and protecting your investment through the data bank of AVID. I have witnessed AVID chips reuniting pets with their owner(s) after having been seperated from their owner / home. Trust me these AVID chips do work. Just keep your contact information current (address & phone number) up to date in their data system.
In 2008 I prefer we not ship anything by air-line. To do so is just way too stressful on the animals being shipped. We'd rather all clients pick-up in person at the kennel. Sorry for any inconvienence this creates for potential clients.
I will only reserve puppies once I am in receipt of your ($100) one hundred dollar cashiers check. If you like to talk Gordons do not hesitate to call me and we'll chat. Please don't waste my and your time by calling me on Saturday thereby verbally placing your order (reservation) with me only to then call me back on Monday before noon (because you ran across another deal more appealing) only to then cancel what you struck with me. Please do your comparison shopping prior to placing your reservation. I produce to few Gordon's making availablity very limited. When people go about things like this they knock someone else out that's also interested. This way of doing things hinders progress and makes things much more complicated than they already are. For every puppy sold here someone got turned away as a result of the sale. Please don't go here with me if you remotely wish to utilize any part of my program !!!!!
As I have previously stated before, I produce these Gordon's for "SERIOUS" upland bird hunters. After you have reserved a puppy there will be no refunds issued if you fail to take the puppy. I do realize tragic things in life can come up beyond one's control that warrants canceling (ie. death, divorce, etc.) I will work with you under certain circumstances should they arise. I appreciate life can throw any one of us sudden obstacles not always easy to over come. I can be flexible for the right reason(s).
Fall litter:
I had a litter to whelp on October 24Th. There is 2 Females and 2 Males available. I expect this litter to be real field performers should you be interested in aquiring one please give us a call versus emailing.
Thank you for taking out the time to stop by and visit. If you have any questions or concerns that I may have not addressed for you please do not hesitate to contact me.
